If you have spoken to me about improving your home there is no doubt that you have heard the term “Look Book” or “Design File”. The idea is to collect images of spaces that inspire you and apply them to your own space if possible. In the past I have suggested window shopping or collecting pictures from magazines or taking them with your camera and organizing them into a binder or divided organizer. You may be asking yourself, “What about the things I see as I am surfing the net?”. I have been asking myself the same question.
I am excited to share with you 2 of my recent discoveries:
Pinterest is a site that allows you to collect pictures that you see on the web and organize them into “boards” or subject areas. You can also view other members collections and “pin” their images to your “boards”. I invite you to click the link below to visit my Boards and see Kitchens, Bathrooms, Outdoor Spaces and Creative Decorating Ideas that I like. Of course, don’t hesitate to begin your own collection of amazing spaces!
Houzz.com is also a great place to collect pictures for inspiration and it has only house related pictures, so you might be able to stay more focused on the task at hand. Click the link on the right to our Houzz profile and get started!
